Schedule a Recurring Campaign
Set the days and times and then forget about it
Yes, you can. Use our calendar-based tool (beta release) to schedule a recurring campaign. Recurring means tinyEmail automatically sends the same campaign message each scheduled day of the week at the same scheduled time.
Setting up a recurring campaign is as easy as 1-2-3-4.
The Recurring Campaign tool is an early beta release. Our dev team is working on enhancements to improve the user experience, like adding a last day to send button. For now, when you want to stop a recurring campaign, send a request to the support team.
The Recurring Campaign tool is at the back end of the Create Campaign workflow. For the sake of brevity, I'll skip over the create campaign details.
If you're new to tinyEmail or can't remember how to create a campaign, I suggest you read Create and Send Email Campaigns.
So, to create a recurring campaign.
You can select a sender email address that has not yet been DKIM authenticated, but I urge you to take a few minutes and complete the DKIM authentication process. Learn more.
Click Continue and move through the workflow (almost there).
Let's say you want to send your audience two messages a day for three consecutive days—one in the morning and one in the early evening. Maybe it's a special holiday blast. You'd set up two recurring schedules: one for the morning campaign (say 6 am) and one for later the same day (say 5:30 pm). You could send the same campaign message or create two different ones.
Even better, you could use our JSON web feed tool and send the same core content (e.g. branding) with different product promotions (e.g. promote an iPhone in the morning and an iPad in the evening). Learn more.
Okay, finally here. On the Preflight checklist page, scroll down to the Schedule heading. Click Setup. A popup displays.
In the popup, switch on the Recurring toggle. Set the send time and use the checkboxes to select which days to send the message. When you refinished, click Schedule.
Actual send times are based on your time zone. The popup shows your time zone for reference purposes. You cannot edit this field.
Go to the Email Campaigns page and click the Recurring tab. The page shows the parent recurring campaign(s) that you created.
Click the Scheduled tab to see the child recurring campaigns (e.g. the message to be sent on the next scheduled day) that are ready to go. tinyEmail automatically sends the campaign message according to your schedule (local day and time).
Click the three-dot icon to open the toolbar. Optionally, you can:
Hover the mouse over the recurring campaign name to see the start date and time. If you click the name, tinyEmail opens the Preflight checklist page. Here, you can update settings (like the audience) and edit the content. But you can't change the scheduled dates or times.
Optionally, cancel the scheduled campaign or send the campaign now.
After tinyEmail sends the first recurring campaign message, tinyEmail moves the child campaign to the Completed tab. This page shows high-level performance data, like total messages sent and open rate.
To remove the child campaign, click the three-dot icon and select Delete. This change does not affect the parent campaign.
Click the campaign name to open the Overview page. Here, you see campaign and audience details. Scroll down the page for detailed performance data (e.g. deliverability, opens, clicks, etc.).
That's it.
Now, you know how to create and schedule a recurring campaign.
