Customers can now text their audience straight from tinyEmail! With bulk SMS campaigns and dedicated SMS workflow actions, you can engage subscribers across both text and email without managing a second marketing tool. SMS functionality is managed on a per-account basis to ensure seamless account onboarding and compliance.

How to Activate SMS Campaigns

💡 Feature Activation Required: SMS functionality is turned off by default for all accounts. To activate the SMS Campaigns feature, please contact our support or account management team. Once enabled for your account, simply access the SMS tab under Campaigns upon your next login.

How to Buy SMS Credits

Customers can purchase credits for SMS and SMTP directly inside tinyEmail in two convenient locations:
  1. My Account > Manage Credits: Navigate to your account menu under My Account and select Manage Credits to view balances, choose credit packages, and manage your billing settings. Managing Your Credits: Product Auto Top Up

  2. Campaigns > SMS > Buy Credits: Go to Campaigns in the main navigation bar, select the SMS tab, and click Buy Credits directly within the campaign management view. 🔔 Auto Top-Up & Notifications: You can configure automatic top-up rules to prevent paused campaigns and receive low-balance email notifications whenever your credit balance drops below your chosen threshold.

How to Buy & Verify a Toll-Free Sender Phone Number

To send SMS campaigns, customers must acquire and verify sender phone number:
  1. Navigate to Sender Numbers: Go to Campaigns > SMS in the left navigation sidebar and open the Sender Numbers tab.

  2. Select & Purchase Phone Number: Browse available toll-free numbers and purchase your chosen phone number using your account's SMS credits.



  3. Complete In-App Carrier Verification: Fill out the required business registration details (business name, address, use case description, and sample messages) directly inside the in-app submission form.

  4. Receive Verification Confirmation: Your registration is submitted to carriers for verification. Senders receive automated email notifications when status updates—whether approved, rejected (with actionable feedback), or expired. Only verified numbers can send dispatches.

How to Set Up & Send an SMS Campaign

⚠️ Prerequisite — Purchase SMS Credits First: Before creating or scheduling an SMS campaign, make sure you have purchased SMS credits for your account. Managing Your Credits: Product Auto Top Up
  1. Navigate to SMS Campaigns: Log in to your tinyEmail account, click Campaigns , and select the SMS tab.

  2. Step 1 — Campaign Details: Click Create Campaign. Enter your internal campaign name and select your verified toll-free sender number from the dropdown menu.

  3. Step 2 — Draft Message & Preview: Type your SMS content in the message editor. The live character counter calculates segment counts and required credits in real time. Inspect your message layout inside the mobile phone preview frame.

  4. Step 3 — Select Target Audience: Choose your recipient lists or custom segments. The builder dynamically displays eligible SMS contacts and checks credit sufficiency.
