AI Traffic Control is tinyEmail’s smart, automated system built to help you scale your email marketing without putting deliverability at risk. By continuously optimizing traffic based on recipient behavior, AI Traffic Control enables you to:
Improve inbox placement
Protect and strengthen sender reputation
Scale email campaigns safely and efficiently
Remove guesswork from deliverability management
With AI Traffic Control, tinyEmail makes deliverability an automatic part of your growth—so you can focus on creating impactful campaigns while the platform handles the complexity behind the scenes.
Grow Your Audience with AI Traffic Control
Under AI Traffic Control, you can choose between two guided paths based on your current audience and sending history. Each option is designed to help you scale safely using intelligent volume control and engagement-based segmentation.
Import new subscribers
Re-engage subscribers
1. Import New Subscribers
This option is ideal for:
Brand-new sending domains
Accounts migrating from another Email Service Provider (ESP)
When importing new subscribers, AI Traffic Control gradually ramps up sending volume and closely monitors engagement signals to establish trust with ISPs. This controlled warm-up process helps reduce the risk of spam filtering while building a positive sending reputation from day one. Use this option if you are starting fresh or bringing an existing audience into tinyEmail for the first time.
How to Activate
1. From your tinyEmail dashboard, navigate to AI Traffic Control and select it to begin the setup process.
2. Choose Import New Subscribers.
3. Select the audience you want to include in the warm-up process.
Then define the audience criteria:
Select Segment Priority.

4. Complete the setup details:
Enter a name to help you identify this configuration.
Warmup Type – Select one of the following:
Brand New Domain
Domain Migration
Existing Domain
This selection helps AI Traffic Control apply the correct sending strategy.
5. Volume Distribution.
Allocate your sending volume across domains to control how traffic is gradually distributed during the warm-up period.
AI Traffic Control will use this distribution to slowly increase sending volume, monitor engagement signals, and optimize delivery while protecting your sender reputation.
6: Your AI Traffic Control is now active.
NOTE: You can view your AI Traffic Control configuration from the list at any time, or assign it directly to a campaign to start sending. Once applied, tinyEmail will automatically manage sending volume and traffic distribution to optimize deliverability and protect your sender reputation.
2. Re-Engage Subscribers
This option is designed for users who want to grow their audience by re-engaging existing contacts.
AI Traffic Control identifies and prioritizes subscribers who have shown engagement — such as opens or clicks — within the past 90 days or longer, depending on your account history. By focusing on your most responsive audience first, the system helps improve deliverability while gradually expanding reach to less active subscribers.
Use this option if you already have contacts in your account and want to safely increase sending volume by re-engaging proven openers and clickers.
How to Activate
1. From your tinyEmail dashboard, navigate to AI Traffic Control and select it to begin the setup process.
2. Choose Re-Engage Subscribers.
3. Select the Active Segment Type to allow AI Traffic Control to automatically add subscribers to the engaged list based on their activity. This ensures that only responsive and qualified contacts are included as sending volume increases, helping improve deliverability and engagement performance.
Then define the audience criteria:
Active Segment Type – Choose how engagement is measured (for example, openers or clickers).
Period – Select the engagement timeframe.
4. Complete the setup details:
Activate Recurring to keep your AI Traffic Control running in a continuous loop. When this option is activated, the process automatically restarts from the beginning once a cycle is completed, helping maintain consistent sending health and deliverability over time.
NOTE: Toggle this option off if you want AI Traffic Control to run only once.
5. Select the Reference Campaign to apply Traffic Shaping and Save.
6. Your AI Traffic Control is now active.
